Judy Mackintosh lives on a Beef Breeding property at Neerim. She loves to paint in oils on canvas to capture a favourite pet, landscape, or portrait. The old disused dairy has been transformed into Judy’s Gallery and Art Studio and is open by appointment and on Open Studios days.
Judy has spent much time away with her passionate fly fisherman husband, travelling throughout Australia, allowing for a wealth of beautiful painting subjects and breathtaking scenery that can only leave anyone with a passion for painting. She has also travelled on painting tours throughout Italy and Sicily on three separate occasions.
Judy is a passionate oil painter who loves to paint wet in wet with pure colour. She loves to play with the paint and create colour within colour. She follows the traditional style of many outstanding artists including Rembrandt, Velazquez, Cezanne, Constable, and John Singer Sargent.
Judy has entered the Archibald competition six times and has been successful in that all of her entries have been selected to be hung in the Melbourne “Hidden Faces of the Archibald” exhibition held variously at Crown Casino, the Park Hyatt Melbourne and the Melbourne Hilton at South Wharf.
Judy now offers pets portraits in oils on canvas and would welcome the opportunity to capture your special pet on canvas. You can contact here through her website at www.judymackintosh.com.au, or by visiting her gallery on Open Studio days.
